This 15" x 15" x 5/16" octagonal pottery kiln shelf is fully compatible with a wide range of 8-sided electric kilns, including Skutt 818, 822, Cone Art 1813D, 1822D, and Olympic 1814, 1818, 1823, 1827 series. It is widely used in top-loading electric kilns.
This kiln shelf is made of high-grade Nitride Bonded Silicon Carbide (NSiC). Compared with other advancer shelves of the same size, it combines lightweight and high rigidity, and will not deform even after repeated high-temperature firings. Two shelves can be seamlessly spliced to form a flat and smooth bearing surface. With optimized structure, it maximizes kiln space, increases production capacity, and supports low-carbon and eco-friendly production.
All our high-grade kiln shelves are made of NSiC material, with a maximum heat resistance of 2600°F, suitable for small ceramic studios and large industrial kilns. Its mechanical strength is 19 times that of traditional silicon carbide shelves or 1-inch thick cordierite shelves, while the weight is reduced by 50%.
